Academy Acceptance Policy:
West Mecklenburg Academies will provide a supportive, structured, and academically enriched environment to prepare ALL students for completion of high school requirements, graduation, and life after high school. Students select the Academy they would like to enroll in during the Middle School registration process.

- Provide experiences helping to shape the future workforce
- Serve as mentors or speaks and provide one-day shadowing experiences or field trips

‘Friends of West Meck’ helps students access opportunities
Not every school is equal when it comes to resources and funding. There is a group in Charlotte working to create opportunities at West Mecklenburg High School. Scholarship Opportunities 2022
The FoWM Stipend Sub-Committee is excited to announce that the 2nd Annual Senior Stiped Application process has opened. The FoWM will award six (6) $500 stipends to NAF AOHT students.

NAF AOHT Student at West Meck High School senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or university, community college, apprenticeship, or has a plan after high-school graduation. The candidate must have at least a 2.0 GPA Involvement in community service or volunteer work is a plus STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT Two (2) Letters of Recommendation and a 200 - 400 words explain how the stipend will help you reach your goals. SCHOOL OFFICIALS MUST SUBMIT An Official Transcript DEADLINE: Monday, May 9, 2022The completed application, official transcripts, and supporting documents must be received by Monday, May 9, 2022."
